Elephant Day

Use activities 1, 2 and 3 to help you fill in your Elephant Report. Then complete activities 4 and 5.  Activity 6 is a reward for all your hard work.
    1. Read this article about elephants, and you can watch the videos. Fill out the papers on Habitat and Diet. On the drawing page, fill out the official name, genus, species, etc. If you are missing any information there is more here.
    2. Look at this pinterest page and pick one that shows how to draw and elephant. Just click on the pin and it will get bigger, you don’t need to go to the webpage. Draw your elephant on the page that has a drawing square. You may listen to music while you do this if you like. Draw some grass and a tree around him too, if you want. Add color, if you want.
    3. Watch this documentary about baby elephants. It’s long, so you only have to watch 30 minutes today if you want.
    4. Read this short story about an elephant and a little girl.
    5. Look at this example of an ACROSTIC poem about elephants. Use this acrostic builder to generate your own. There should be one fact per letter, and your sentence should start with that letter. They should be FACTS, not sentences like “Elephants are very cool.” An example of a fact would be for the first letter: “Elephants can weight 2.5 to 7 tons.”
    6. When you are finished with everything, watch this video and this video (two surprises for your hard work!):
